Biography

Dr. Nguyen Van Thang is a professor of management at the Institute for Sustainable Development, National Economics University, Vietnam. Dr. Thang has taught Principle of Management, Strategic Management for different MBA programs in Vietnam. He has also taught Research Methodology for PhD students at the NEU and has been known as the proponent of new approach to PhD program at the university. Besides, he was the proponent and has been academic coordinator of the English PhD program (E-PhD) at NEU. Dr. Thang was a visiting lecturer and taught Small Business Policies class at the Washington State University (Fall 2004), and was a visiting professor at the University of Macau (2005-2007). He also served as senior consultant for international organizations in Vietnam, such as the World Bank, UNDP, DFID, and JICA.

Dr. Thang has more than 20 years of experience in conducting research in management. His research interests include entrepreneurship, trust, knowledge management and governance. Dr. Thang has widely published in world-class journals such as Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of World Business, Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, World Development, Journal of Business Ethics, and Human Resource Management Review.
