On March 17, 2025, the Institute for Sustainable Development organized a Research Proposal Review Session for doctoral students from cohorts 4, 5, 6, and 7 of the English-taught Doctoral Program at room 1501, building A1, National Economics University.<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Research Proposal Review Session was attended by members of the program's academic committee, including Associate Professor Dr. Le Quang Canh, Professor Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai, and Associate Professor Dr. Bach Ngoc Thang from the Institute for Sustainable Development; Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Vu Hung from the Journal of Economics and Development; and Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang from the Graduate Training Institute. The session also welcomed invited guest Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh from the Faculty of Real Estate and Resource Economics, along with doctoral students from various cohorts and their supervising faculty members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Associate Professor Dr. Bach Ngoc Thang opened the session by welcoming and thanking all faculty members and doctoral students enrolled in the English-taught doctoral program for attending the Research Proposal Review Session. The purpose of the presentations was for doctoral students to present their research proposals and receive feedback and suggestions from faculty members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Thang then outlined the presentation format and specific guidelines for the doctoral students. Each student was allocated a maximum of 15 minutes to present their research proposal, followed by 10 minutes for responding to questions, feedback, and discussion with faculty members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The research proposals received extensive input from invited experts and fellow doctoral students. These contributions are invaluable for refining the research proposals and making decisions regarding thesis topic assignments and supervisor appointments. This presentation session is mandatory for all students in the program, with each student receiving individual evaluation minutes following their presentation to serve as the basis for official decisions on thesis topic assignments and supervisor appointments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The review session concluded successfully thanks to the enthusiastic participation of faculty members involved in teaching and program management, supervising professors, and the comprehensive participation of all doctoral students presenting during this session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
