On the morning of February 6, 2025 (the 9th day of the first lunar month in the Year of the Snake 2025), the Institute for Sustainable Development organized a New Year gathering for faculty members and participated in the "Welcome Spring 2025" program hosted by the National Economics University, extending warm New Year wishes to all staff, faculty, and employees throughout the university and launching a year of remarkable achievements.
In the joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere of the new year, with full participation from all members of the Institute for Sustainable Development, Associate Professor Dr. Le Quang Canh – Director of the Institute – extended New Year wishes for Health, Happiness, and Success to all faculty families and colleagues within the Institute.
Following this, Institute members joined the "Welcome Spring 2025" program organized by the National Economics University.
Speaking at the gathering, Professor Dr. Pham Hong Chuong shared: "Looking back at 2024, we take immense pride in the National Economics University's brilliant journey – a year that marked a significant milestone as the National Economics University College officially transformed into the National Economics University. This represents a strategic transformation, opening a breakthrough development phase that brings our institution closer to advanced international higher education standards, fulfilling the aspirations of generations of National Economics University faculty and students.
Throughout this journey, we have created memorable milestones together. From enhancing training quality and applying new technologies to developing advanced teaching programs, establishing international standing, expanding cooperative relationships, and strengthening international quality accreditation – all these achievements result from persistent efforts, continuous innovation, and a collective spirit always moving forward with unwavering confidence."
Sharing goals for 2025, Professor Pham Hong Chuong affirmed that in the Spring of the Snake 2025, we – the children of the National Economics University – stand before our own special spring. We will have a year with critically important tasks to complete excellently, ensuring the National Economics University continues its strong development. Successfully organizing Party Congresses at all levels, selecting the most outstanding representatives for the Party Committee, ensuring effective integration of experience and wisdom with youth, innovation, and creativity. Building a strategic vision for a new development phase. Strengthening leadership teams and appointing new Directors and Vice Directors for the new term will be a top priority task to ensure stability, continuity, and innovation. We will continue perfecting our governance system, enhancing leadership capacity and operations according to modern university models – smart universities, green universities – striving to become a symbol of Vietnamese universities reaching out to the world. We will continue innovating curricula, accelerating digital transformation, applying AI and Big Data, building a modern and flexible learning environment. Developing faculty according to international standards, promoting scientific research, increasing international publications, developing highly applicable projects that contribute to solving socio-economic issues and supporting national policy formulation. We will continue affirming and elevating the National Economics University's position.

I believe that with unity, solidarity, creativity, and responsibility, holding hands tightly together, we will continue writing glorious history pages, taking the National Economics University further and higher on the journey to conquer intellectual peaks," emphasized Professor Pham Hong Chuong, Director of the National Economics University.
In the joyful atmosphere of the new year's first day, the University Party Committee celebrated as four Party members received 40-year Party membership badges. This prestigious award recognizes their contributions to the Party's revolutionary cause, the country, the education sector, and the National Economics University. We hope these comrades will continue upholding glorious traditions, contributing wisdom and strength to build a clean and strong Party organization and University branches, helping the National Economics University achieve even greater accomplishments in the future.
The year 2024 recorded numerous achievements by collectives and individuals across various fields and specialized work areas. Notable among these were the dedication and tireless work of outstanding individuals who contributed to the University's overall development. To recognize these contributions and dedication, the University Director signed Decision No. 104/QD-DHKTQD dated January 21, 2025, recognizing 10 outstanding figures of the National Economics University for 2024.
The new Year of the Snake 2025 has arrived at the National Economics University. May the National Economics University forever remain a shared home of unity and solidarity, responsibility, and continuous creative innovation, spreading many values to the community and society. We wish all faculty, staff, employees, and their families abundant health, overflowing happiness, and tremendous success in the new year.
