
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bach Ngoc Thang
Dr. Bach Ngoc Thang is an Associate Professor of Economics at the National Economics University. Since 2005, he has been teaching Macroeconomics, Econometrics, and Research Methods at both undergraduate and graduate levels at the National Economics University and several other universities in Hanoi.
In 2014, he received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Queensland, Australia. He has a passion for teaching and sharing knowledge with others. He believes in the far-reaching impact of higher education on the economy and society, through providing high-quality human resources and responsible people. His main research areas are Economic Growth and Development, Public Governance, SMEs. Associate Professor's research works have been published in leading international academic journals, such as World Development, The Economics of Transition and Institutional Change, Journal of Development Studies, The Developing Economies, Public Administration and Development, International Journal of Public Sector Management, Journal of the Asia Pacific Economy, Economic Analysis and Policy, Business Strategy and the Environment, Review of Development Economics. Maintaining regular research activities helps enlarge his network of collaborations and provide his students with the latest specialized knowledge. In addition to teaching and research, he has been involved in policy consulting and community activities in the fields of governance and sustainable development, for prominent partners such as the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Australian Embassy, UNDP, World Bank and JICA. The Associate Professor also participates in supervising doctoral students, and is currently the seminar coordinator of the English-taught Doctor of Philosophy Programme (E-Ph.D.) at the National Economics University.
