
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bach Ngoc Thang
Dr. Bach Ngoc Thang is an Associate Professor of Economics at the National Economics University, having been involved in teaching since 2005. He teaches Macroeconomics, Econometrics, and Research Methods for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the National Economics University and several other universities in Hanoi.
In 2014, he received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Queensland, Australia. Dr. Thang has a passion for teaching and sharing knowledge with others. He believes in the profound impact of higher education on the economy and society through providing high-quality human resources and responsible citizens.
Dr. Thang's key research areas include Economic Growth and Development, Public Administration, and Small and Medium Enterprises. He is pursuing a dynamic research program.
The Associate Professor's research works have been published in leading international academic journals, such as World Development, The Economics of Transition, The Journal of Development Studies, The Developing Economies, International Journal of Public Sector Management, Journal of the Asia Pacific Economy, Journal of Economics and Development, among other journals. Maintaining regular research activities helps Dr. Thang expand his collaborative network and provide students with the latest specialized knowledge.
In addition to teaching and research activities, he participates in consulting and community activities in the fields of governance and sustainable development, for notable partners such as the Ministry of Science and Technology, Australian Embassy, UNDP, World Bank, and JICA. The Associate Professor also supervises research students and currently serves as the coordinator of the seminar series for the English-taught Doctoral Program (E-PhD) at the National Economics University.
