On February 19, 2025, the Party Cell of the Institute for Sustainable Development, under the Party Committee of the National Economics University, successfully convened its Congress for the 2025-2027 term.
The Congress was attended by representatives from the University Party Committee, including Associate Professor Dr. Bui Duc Tho - Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the University Council, along with Ms. Cao Thi Khanh Huyen from the Party and Mass Organizations Office, and all Party members of the Institute for Sustainable Development's Party Cell.
The Congress proceeded in a solemn and democratic atmosphere, reflecting the high sense of responsibility demonstrated by all Party members. This significant event aimed to review and evaluate achievements from the 2022-2025 term while establishing the direction and tasks for the new 2025-2027 term.
During the Congress, delegates engaged in focused discussions on the draft political report of the Institute for Sustainable Development's Party Cell Congress, covering three main areas: (i) Evaluation of Party Cell performance for the 2022-2025 term; (ii) Strategic directions and tasks for the 2025-2027 term; (iii) Assessment of the Party Cell's leadership and guidance during the 2022-2025 term.
Throughout the 2022-2025 term, the Institute for Sustainable Development's Party Cell received close guidance and leadership from the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the National Economics University. This enabled the Cell to effectively fulfill its leadership role in implementing assigned tasks. Political and ideological education was given priority, while Party member development and monitoring activities received dedicated attention.
In his guidance address at the Congress, Associate Professor Dr. Bui Duc Tho, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the University Council, highly commended the unit's achievements in scientific research, training, and consulting activities. These results demonstrated the quality, depth, reputation, and prestige that the unit has achieved under the Party Cell's leadership during the 2022-2025 term. The Institute serves as an exemplary model for elite training organizations integrated with scientific research focused on quality. Regarding future directions and tasks, the Party Cell has clearly identified opportunities and challenges for the upcoming term that must be embraced, striving to develop in accordance with the unit's potential and the requirements of scientific and technological advancement. University leadership recognizes the Institute for Sustainable Development as a successful model and will continue investing in its development to contribute to building the value and brand of the National Economics University.
With a spirit of responsibility, democracy, and transparency, delegates elected Mr. Le Quang Canh, Director of the Institute, to serve as Party Cell Secretary of the Institute for Sustainable Development for the 2025-2027 term.
The Congress also unanimously approved the Resolution for the 2022-2025 term with fundamental content to guide and direct the Institute for Sustainable Development in excellently completing its assigned tasks. Regarding training activities, the Institute for Sustainable Development's Party Cell strives to continue managing the English-taught PhD program (E-PhD), combining training with research to produce valuable educational outcomes that align with regional and international standards. For scientific research activities, the Institute's Party Cell remains committed to quality-oriented research, producing serious work with high scientific value.
