The Institute for Sustainable Development is a subsidiary unit of the National Economics University. In January 2019, to meet the growing demand for international management capacity and knowledge development, the Institute was officially established through the merger of 3 institutes:
- Institute for Asia-Pacific Management
- Institute for Economic Research & Development
- Institute for Population & Social Issues
The Institute focuses on creating and disseminating knowledge in economic management, public administration, business management, and related social science fields.
The Institute's approach combines international knowledge with specific regional experiences to develop modern and appropriate management solutions.

The Institute for Sustainable Development will become a regional-level research and training center for economic management and business administration.
