On the afternoon of November 18, 2024, doctoral students from the E-PhD Program visited to extend their congratulations to the faculty members of the Institute for Sustainable Development at the National Economics University in honor of Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20, 2024..

The meeting was attended by Institute leadership, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Canh – Director of ISD, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuyet Mai, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bach Ngoc Thang – Deputy Director. Among the invited guests was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Hung – Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Economics and Development, along with doctoral students from various cohorts.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Canh – Institute Director delivers remarks

Director of the Institute for Sustainable Development, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Canh, shared with the doctoral students that the most important thing is to always maintain one's mindset and motivation throughout the research process. Pursuing a doctorate is a long and arduous journey, yet it also represents a significant milestone in the career path of educators and researchers. Furthermore, a doctoral dissertation is not an endpoint but rather the beginning of one's research endeavors. Dr. Canh expressed his hope that the E-PhD Program will continue to serve as a common home for generations of doctoral students, both during and after completing their dissertations.

During the gathering, faculty members and doctoral students shared stories about their learning experiences, current work, and daily life. Subsequently, the doctoral students also extended their heartfelt wishes to the faculty of the E-PhD Program who have provided assistance, support, and created favorable conditions for students throughout their academic journey. They hope that the faculty will continue to inspire and guide future cohorts of doctoral students.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Hung extended his wishes to the faculty of the Institute for Sustainable Development and the E-PhD Program for continued good health and unwavering enthusiasm. He also wished the doctoral students success in achieving their most important goals, both in their careers and personal lives.

This was followed by cultural performances presented by students in the program as part of the celebration.
